Who He Is
Forseti is the son of Baldur and Nanna, and he is the god of justice, peace, and reconciliation. His hall is Glitnir, whose pillars are of gold and roof of silver, and it is there that he settles all disputes that come before him. It is said that no one leaves Glitnir unsatisfied—all who bring their conflicts to Forseti find resolution.
Where Tyr represents justice through sacrifice and courage, Forseti represents justice through mediation, dialogue, and the patient work of finding common ground. He is the god of the legal process at its best—fair, thorough, and genuinely aimed at resolution rather than punishment.

Prayer 1: For Fair Resolution of Conflict
Forseti, Lord of Glitnir, in your hall no dispute goes unresolved and no party leaves feeling unheard.
I bring a conflict before you, Forseti. It has grown tangled— both sides feel wronged, both sides feel righteous, and the truth is somewhere in between.
Grant us your clarity. Help us hear each other— really hear, not just wait for our turn to speak. Let us find the ground between us and stand on it together.
Hail Forseti, Lord of Resolution.
Prayer 2: For Wisdom in Judgment
Forseti, I have been asked to judge— to weigh one side against another and render an opinion that matters.
I do not take this lightly. Someone will be affected by what I decide, and I want to decide rightly.
Clear my vision, Forseti. Strip away my biases, my preferences, my tendency to favor the familiar. Let me see the facts as they are and the people as they are and render judgment that I could defend before you in Glitnir itself.
Hail Forseti, the Just.
Prayer 3: For Diplomatic Skill
Forseti, the world is full of conflicts that could be resolved with better words. People who agree on more than they realize but cannot see past their positions to their shared interests.
Give me your diplomat's tongue, Forseti. Let me speak the words that bridge gaps. Let me ask the questions that reveal common ground. Let me be trusted by all sides because I serve none but fairness.
Hail Forseti, Master of Mediation.
Prayer 4: For the Legal System
Forseti, Lord of Law, the systems we have built to ensure justice are imperfect—sometimes badly so.
But the ideal behind them is yours: that every person deserves a fair hearing, that the powerful should not crush the powerless, that truth and evidence should outweigh money and influence.
Strengthen that ideal, Forseti. Let those who serve in the courts— judges, attorneys, jurors, advocates— remember why the system exists and serve it with integrity.
Hail Forseti, Guardian of Fair Law.
Prayer 5: For Inner Peace After Conflict
Forseti, the conflict is over. A resolution has been reached— not a perfect one, but a real one.
And yet my heart is still churning. The arguments replay in my mind. The anger and hurt have not dissolved just because an agreement was signed.
Help me let go, Forseti. The work of resolution is done. Now comes the harder work: acceptance.
Let me release the need to re-litigate what is already settled. Let me find the peace that comes after justice has done its imperfect best.
Hail Forseti, Giver of After-Peace.
