Who He Is
Vali is the son of Odin, born for a single, fierce purpose: to avenge the death of his brother Baldur. According to the lore, Vali grew to full adulthood in a single day, and before his first night was done, he had slain Höðr, the blind god who had been tricked into killing Baldur. He is associated with the force that answers injustice swiftly and decisively.
Vali is also one of the gods who survives Ragnarök, connecting him to themes of renewal and the new world that rises after destruction. He is associated with spring—the season that arrives as the vengeful answer to winter's grip.

Prayer 1: For Righteous Anger
Vali, swift-growing son of the Allfather, you came into this world with a purpose already burning in your chest.
There is an injustice before me that will not resolve itself. Patience has been tried. Reason has been tried. The wrong persists.
Give me your fire, Vali— not rage, but righteous anger. The kind that is focused, purposeful, that does not scatter into destruction but strikes exactly where it needs to.
I will not be still about this any longer. I will act, and I will act rightly.
Hail Vali, Avenger of the Light.
Prayer 2: For Renewal After Loss
Vali, you survived the end of the world. When the fire died down and the waters receded, you were there to see the new green growing.
I have lost something that mattered. The ground where it stood is scorched. I cannot see what could possibly grow there now.
But you can.
Show me the first shoot, Vali. The first sign that this barren place is not permanent. That life is already pushing up through the ash.
I will tend it when it comes. I just need to see it first.
Hail Vali, Lord of New Growth.
Prayer 3: For Decisive Action
Vali, you did not deliberate. You did not form a committee. You grew to your full strength in a day and did what needed doing before nightfall.
I have been deliberating too long. The moment for action is here— it may already be passing.
Strip away my hesitation. Let me see the target clearly and let my aim be true. The time for thinking is done. The time for doing has come.
Hail Vali, the Swift.
Prayer 4: For the Coming of Spring
Vali, child of the returning light, winter has held on too long. The cold has gone from bracing to oppressive, the dark from restful to suffocating.
Bring the spring, Vali. Crack the ice. Warm the soil. Send the first crocus through the frozen ground as proof that the turning has begun.
And in me, too—let the inner winter break. Let energy return, let ambition thaw, let the long hibernation end in something green and purposeful.
Hail Vali, Herald of Spring.
Prayer 5: For Those Who Defend the Vulnerable
Vali, you answered injustice because the victim could not answer for himself. Baldur, the gentlest god, could not avenge his own death. So you did it.
There are people who cannot fight for themselves— the young, the sick, the outnumbered, the ones whose voices are not heard.
Strengthen those who defend them. Give them your swiftness, your resolve, your refusal to let the wrong stand.
And if I am in a position to act— let me not hesitate. Baldur's vengeance did not wait. Neither should justice.
Hail Vali, Shield of the Voiceless.
